Update for April 9th, 2014

We've made a change in the way simplebooklets are created and published.  We are no longer adding third party advertising to web booklets that are created with a free account.  Instead, web booklets created using a free account will be available for publishing and sharing for 14 days.  After 14 days, the web booklet will no longer be available to share.  You can keep your web booklet live by upgrading a single web booklet for one year, or upgrading your account to HERO status so that all your web booklets you create in your account are available for one year.

We made this change to ensure that our free accounts would get the best experience in publishing and sharing their web booklets. This will keep the focus of your customer on your content, not the distracting nature of advertising.  If you do want to keep a web booklet for longer than 14 days, then the option to upgrade is there and to continue to benefit from the extended reach you get from your web booklets sharing capabilities.

As always, we are working hard to bring a product that meets the needs of our users, so please don't hesitate to give us feedback in your experiences with the simplebooklet platform.

Updates for March 13th, 2014

We've just added a minor update to the way you interact with the content containers in the editor.  There are now two steps to interacting with your content.  

A double click on a content container will allow you to edit the content inside the container. For example, if you double click an image, you will see the full size of the image and the area that isn't visible outside the container. You will also see the green corners that you can drag to resize your image.  You can also grab anywhere in the image to move the image within the frame.

A single click of the image will give you control of the container. You will see four yellow circles in the four corners.

You can then resize the container by dragging the corners. You can also click and drag the entire container and move it to a different place on your page to change your layout.

This new behaviour is applied to all of the content containers on a page.  It should prevent accidentally moving content around the page.

Update for March 11th, 2014

We've recently improved our twitter sharing tool.  Now, when you post to twitter, you are also posting a visual summary card of your web booklet.  This includes a screenshot of the first page of your web booklet along with a link back to the web booklet landing page.

It's a much more visually engaging way to stand out in your customer's twitter feed.

You don't have to do anything to get the summary card in your tweet. It will automatically be added whenever you tweet from the share page or from the twitter page using your web booklet's URL.

Update for March 8th, 2014

We've just released an iOS version of simplebooklet.  This is a very simple app designed to give you quick access to your simplebooklet web booklets and share them.  The app will give you a visual listing of all your web booklets found in your simplebooklet account.

Download the my simplebooklet's app right from the iphone app store.  You can find it here.

With this mySimplebooklets app, you'll be able to log into your account and retrieve all your web booklets. Then, you can scroll through the list of your web booklets and choose to open it right there on you iphone, or, select share and email it or post it to facebook or twitter.

Updates for March 6th, 2014

We've just made it possible on to use templates to create quick web booklets about your business. They are an easy way to place a few images and some marketing copy into a web booklet for immediate sharing via email and social networks.  They have been designed to make it easier for you to quickly put out engaging content about your products and services that actually lead to customer interest.  As always, they are designed to work very well on social feeds and through email.  They are also only a few pages long, so they are quick to produce and long enough to catch and hold your customer's attention.

You can find the templates by clicking Get Started from your simplebooklet dashboard.

You can view an example of your template or just select it.  You'll then be asked to give your new template a title and your author name. Your template will be a few pages long and all you need to do is click on the various placeholders to add your own images and text.  A few photos of your products and business along with some copy describing what people see will fill out your template very quickly.

templates have already been designed with layouts and page counts selected, but you can always move and add additional content and layouts.  You can even add additional pages if you'd like.

Some templates are free, while others will be available to our upgraded users exclusively.
